Tonic Yang originated from the “Essentials of the Golden Chamber” written in the late Eastern Han Dynasty in China. It has more than 1,800 years of clinical use in history. It is the basic prescription for replenishing Kidney Qi and Kidney Yang. The symptoms of Kidney Qi and Kidney Yang Deficiency are characterized by the body’s fear of cold, back pain, weakness in the knee, oedema, urinary retention or frequent and clear urination or nocturia, increased urinary incontinence, pale tongue and pulse weakness.
Kidney Qi and Kidney Yang Deficiency are usually seen in many diseases such as incontinence, urinary dysfunctions, premature ejaculation, chronic nephritis, diabetic hyperaldosteronism, low blood pressure, renal oedema, adrenal insufficiency, hypothyroidism, low immunity, menopausal syndrome, late and irregular menstruation.
